Thirty years has a way of changing almost everything.
When Eaglecom was launched on July 15, 1996…
I was almost 40. Today, I’m almost 70.
I had one employee. Today, I’m privileged to work alongside more than 20 exceptional people.
I had one client. Today, we serve over 20 ministry organizations.
There were three people in my immediate family. Today, there are seventeen.
I had already spent 21 years in the media industry. This year marks 51.
Looking back, it’s easy to celebrate thirty years. Living them was different. Thirty years were built one day at a time. Each decision, each relationship and each opportunity to serve has become a living journal. A story of highs, lows and lessons!
It’s fun to recall all that has changed when we acknowledge an anniversary, but I also like to think of what hasn’t changed.
Our work has always involved strategy, media plans, negotiations, creative development, budgets, analytics, contracts and administration. To say nothing of thousands of meetings! That is what we do!
But they’ve never been the why.
The why has always been to help connect people with messages that have the power to change lives. That’s our purpose.
That’s why we’ve always described ourselves as living at the intersection of Media. Ministry. Marketing.
We are in the people-reaching business!
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, my heart is simply full of gratitude.
Gratitude for the remarkable people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside.
Gratitude for the clients who have trusted us to join their mission.
Gratitude for the media partners who have become generous friends.
And above all, gratitude for God who has faithfully guided us, opening some doors, closing others and always proving His plan is better than ours!
If you know me at all, you’ve heard me say, “God owns Eaglecom”. This isn’t a line for a marketing brochure…this is my heartfelt belief.
Thank you, Lord for the privilege of working for your company these past 30 years. Please guide us forward according to your will—we trust you have more decades of journal entries.
